They are located on the Third floor in front of the Surgery area of the HIC. They have an installed capacity of 20 cubicles, of which 14 are Intensive Care and 6 are for Intermediate Care. All cubicles have a “Mindray” vital signs monitor and fan.
For every 12 cubicles there is a special isolation cubicle, with a HEPA filter and sensors that determine if there is a negative or a positive pressure, which favors isolating completely. These cubicles are special for an immunosuppressed or with an infectious patient, which allows any bacteria or particle that is in the room to go outside, or that some of the environment enters the cubicle. In addition, they have special filters that allow us to purify the air that is inside the cubicle, thus avoiding any infection.
The entry of a permanent companion (24 hours) per patient is allowed. A maximum of 3 visitors per patient are allowed at the following times:
10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
To enter the Adult and Intermediate ICU, specific recommendations should be followed that you can read by clicking here.
