In the world, more than 120,000 transplants are performed every year, a life-saving medical procedure. However, the lack of organ donors is a reality that makes the process difficult and affects the health of many people.

Organ and tissue transplantation represents one of the greatest advances that medicine has achieved over the years. It is a surgical procedure that offers excellent results to improve or prolong a patient's quality of life. During a transplant, organs, tissues, and other anatomical components of a patient (recipient) are replaced by those of a living or cadaveric donor.
Donation is a voluntary and altruistic act that has helped to save numerous lives around the world: each donor can save up to 8 lives and improve the quality of life of at least 75 people.
